The Software

The subject of the present research project, titled Smart Software for Optimizing Shifts and Duty Rosters through Advanced Algorithms and Big Data Analysis, is the development of the SmartShift platform. The project will target organizations and businesses operating with rotating schedules and/or 24/7 operations. The scheduling and shift planning software will leverage modern technologies, algorithms, and AI tools, contributing to improved scheduling processes, better service to citizens, and the creation of a fair and balanced schedule tailored to the needs of employees.

Within the framework of utilizing artificial intelligence technologies, the application will incorporate a virtual assistant (Chatbot), providing immediate and accurate information to citizens. Additionally, optimization algorithms and machine learning techniques will be employed to ensure the application’s optimal efficiency and performance.

Target Audience of the Application

Hospitals, Clinics, and Health Units

SmartShift can serve as a central tool for “smart” shift and duty scheduling in departments that require continuous coverage. It helps management quickly generate a realistic and fair schedule that takes into account skills, availability, and regulations (legal or internal), as well as staff preferences.

Pharmacies and Pharmaceutical Associations

For pharmaceutical associations and individual pharmacies, SmartShift will provide automated organization of duty shifts and on-call schedules, taking into account a wide range of factors such as geographic location and appropriate distances between on-duty staff. This approach will bring significant improvements in staff management and citizen service.

Production, Distribution, and Service Sectors

In industries such as manufacturing, retail, and hospitality, where proper allocation of personnel by hour and day is required, SmartShift offers optimized scheduling that meets the demands of continuous staffing and uninterrupted operations.
